Tyler Degiacomo, 33, is being held in lieu of a $500,00 bond, authorities said in a release.

According to investigators, a parent reported their child sent Degiacomo explicit material on their cell phone in March 2024. Detectives learned Degiacomo was a former substitute teacher and volunteer with the School District of Springfield Township, as well as a PIAA Umpire and baseball coach.

Authorities said they later found evidence of three more victims after a search of his devices. Two of the victims are from Montgomery County, another from Clarion County, and a fourth from Alabama, police said.

Degiacomo contacted each victim on social media, according to Springfield police.

He is charged with trafficking in minors, unlawful contact with a minor, sexual abuse of children, and multiple related counts, authorities said.

A preliminary hearing is scheduled for June 11.
